Its the Gospel…. Use it!
Does it matter how the Gospel is preached if it is preached? Now, I’m not talking about this wimpy line falsely credited to St. Francis of Assisi ” Preach the Gospel at all times and if necessary, use words”. You always need words to preach the Gospel. I am talking about methods of evangelism. I listen to Way of the Master Radio daily and I am starting to notice that the show seems to be one big infomercial. Every hour of the show (there’s 2 each day), they do on air evangelism with people on the street. If you are familiar with WOTM, you know that they say to use the 10 commandments in the form of the “good person test” to tell people about the Gospel but it seems that thats all they will do. There was a person named Wesley and the host told him about the famous reformer with the same name. The man seemed interested but instead the host switched into the “Good test” and the man lost pretty much all interest. The host could have easily tied in the law and the Gospel while sharing about the great reformer but seemed not to really care about the person he was talking to just the evangelism style he was selling.
So does it matter how the Gospel is preached as long as it is preached in its entirety? I would love to hear your thoughts on this important subject. Every Christian should be sharing their faith no matter which way you do it.

Even non-Christians are getting it.
This clip is from ER. The man is diagnosed with cancer and has asked for a priest. Instead of a real priest, he gets a liberal priest who doesn’t know anything herself. It’s funny that Hollywood sees how crazy the emergent movement and liberal is and that it makes no sense.

Rest in Peace Brianna Dennison
As most of you know, Brianna Dennison’s body was found Friday and identified Saturday. My heart and prayers go out to the Dennison family. I would like for everyone to pray for family and friends of Brianna. Also, I would like for everyone to pray for the police and that they have wisdom to find the person responsible for this tragedy. My final request for prayer is for WBC that they have a change of heart and choose not to protest the memorial service. This is a time of grieving and not a place to spread a political agenda.

Killing in the name of….
If you have ever shared the Gospel with people you have most likely heard people say that more people have been killed in the name of God than anything else. If you were to ask what their main example is they almost always mention the crusades. Am I the only one who realizes that the crusades occurred more than 700 years ago? The Crusades happened because Muslims had taken over (captured) Jerusalem and was set under a oppressive rule. The English went to Jerusalem in order to reclaim it. From all accounts I have read, in Christian controlled areas of the town people lived mostly free and were allowed to speak out against the Christians while those in Muslim controlled areas where oppresses and could be executed for any number of things. Most however, choose not to focus on that and rather choose to say that many were killed in the name of God. The question is what is the definition of God? Most would include both the military actions of the Muslims and Christians while the two Gods are different. The Muslim god does not exist therefore it is not correct to include that god with the true God. As far as people saying it was done in “the name of god” I do not think that is necessarily the correct phrasing. The English were acting in order to take back the Holy Land and free people from Muslim rule .
Even if people who kill (crusaders, murderers, etc.) claim it was in the name of God that does not mean that they had such authority to do so. I could go arrest someone and say I did it in the name of President Bush but that does not mean I had the authority to do so or the permission from the President. I can say I am doing things in the name of North Korea but if I don’t follow the laws of that state I am not a true follower. The same applies to God and Christianity. Opponents of Christianity rather not focus on such thing but instead just repeat propaganda.
Those against Christianity claim we are horrible people for saying we contain the one truth while Muslims have been and are the “Religion of Peace”(RoP). Fun Fact: In Iran, a resolution is in parliament that would make changing religion from Islam to another (most commonly Christian) a offence punishable by death. Also, think of the last time you heard of a group of people wanting to kill due to offence….. the most recent I can think of is the Muslims after the Danish comic writers. While the “RoP” is threatening people to death for a comic, the evil Christians sit silently by while their God is continuously mocked. (whether such lack of action is the right thing to do is for another post.)
So next time you are told that one will not serve God because of all the people killed in the name of God, instead of changing routes press that person for evidence as to who, and why people killed (or any of the other things I brought up). Then, tell them that just because His ‘followers’ mess up, it does not mean that He is a sinner.

Sorry about the lack of posting! I have been really hammered with school and such. Most of you may not know that I am working with a top Promoter in town and I am learning how to do concert promotions. As you could emagine, this eats up alot of my time that school work hasn’t already taken. The current show I am working on is Ever Says Red. Help Find Brianna Denison
Like I said on my earlier post, I did go lend a hand in searching for Brianna Denison and was very encouraged by the hundreds of others that were there helping. For those in the Reno Area and over 18, you can help search for her as well at the Circus Circus between the hours of 8:30 and 2:30. Most searches last about 2 hours. I am accually disgusted
Westbro Baptist Church has sent a press release stating that if Brianna Denison is found dead (which I am praying she is found alive) they plan on picketing in Reno. I am literally disgusted to the point of vomiting!
The original reaction to this would be anger but I think that it is our job as Christians (not some hating cult that masquerades as Christians) to show the members of WBC and the rest of America the real gospel. I have provided the phone number of WBC and I ask that every person call them and politly let them know that their hate is not true Christianity and that we love them in Christ anyways and even try to share the gospel with them.

If the end up picketing in Reno, (I pray that they don’t) I want to organize as many Christians as possible to go out where they are picketing and show true love and share the gospel to those that are effected by the sin of these picketers but I pray it does not come to that.
