I am not dead

Hello everyone. It has been quite some time since I last posted. I wanted to writ and let you know what’s going on. My plan for the blog is to to into construction and revamp the whole site but right now the only access to the Internet is on my iPhone as I recently moved to a new home with no Internet as of yet. Once I am able to pit the site under construction, I am going to change the whole layout of the blog and add pages for my favorite sermons, bands, and human videos. As most of you know, I am the drama director for Straight Up! Drama. In looking for dramas for my team to preform I have noticed that there is not site set up for the discussion and easy access to human videos. I want to use my site to aid other people in finding good dramas as well as encouraging teams that are having a hard time getting off the ground floor.

If anyone would like to assist me in any part of the process incluing working on a particular page (such as compiling good dramas off of Godtube and YouTube) please email me at renonut2006@gmail.com

Show & some info

Sorry about the lack of posting! I have been really hammered with school and such. Most of you may not know that I am working with a top Promoter in town and I am learning how to do concert promotions. As you could emagine, this eats up alot of my time that school work hasn’t already taken. The current show I am working on is Ever Says Red. Everyone in the Reno/Sparks area (sorry to those readers who are out of state) The flyer with all the info is below.

Help Find Brianna Denison

Like I said on my earlier post, I did go lend a hand in searching for Brianna Denison and was very encouraged by the hundreds of others that were there helping. For those in the Reno Area and over 18, you can help search for her as well at the Circus Circus between the hours of 8:30 and 2:30. Most searches last about 2 hours. Please keep Brianna in your prayers as well as her family and friends. I do not know Brianna personally but my girlfriend and some family friends do and her story has hit me very closely as my girlfriend attends the college near where Brianna disappeared.

A Call for Prayer.

If you live in Reno,NV, you probably already know that a 19 year old girl has been missing since early Sunday morning. Her name is Brianna Denison. If you all would please pray for her and her family, as local police are speculating that she may have been kidnapped. Please pray for her friends including my girlfriend Ashley who went to high school with Brianna. Pray that she be kept safe wherever she may be and pray that God will grant the police with the wisdom to find this girl.

Blogs you should read in 2008….. besides mine

These are a few blogs and podcasts that I read/ listen to often and you should look at them as well because they have some good content. These blogs are in no particular order:

The Fire of New Desire- Great blog by my friend Joey. He writes on some of the same stuff I do but he writes a whole lot more eloquently (and less sarcastically).

Abandon Image- Blog by a lady named Tia. She is fairly emergent and I disagree with some of what she has to say but has some interesting opinions and is one of the more polite people when it comes to discussing controversial topics.

Purity: Fully Clothed- Thoughts on purity by two teen-age girls. Real talk about sex and abstinence from girls living in this crazy sex-obsessed generation. Some really great poems and analogies on purity.

Desiring God Blog- The official blog of Pastor John Piper’s Desiring God Ministries. Deep insight from Piper and others on Christianity from a fairly conservative point of view. Also, you can find a link to John Pipers sermons which are entertaining and very informative.

Mars Hill Church Podcasts- Sermons by Pastor Mark Driscoll. Most people think he is emergent but his theology is actually very conservative. He does sermon series by going straight through the books of the Bible. Probably one of the funniest Pastors I have ever heard yet he explores the scriptures well. Starting soon, He will be doing a nine sermon series on questions submitted to their website.

I listen to and read a whole bunch of stuff so if you would like some more leave a comment and I will give you some more.

Merry Chirstmas and some info

In the hustle and bustle of our consumer driven culture it is important to remember that Christmas is about Christ. Not only his birth but his death as well. Watch this video, it is very good and tells the true meaning of Christmas.

So tonight was the harvest party and it went off without a hitch!! It was fabulous. Everything went well and I have faith that the drama touched some people and that they will read the Gospels we gave them at the end. One of my co-workers came with her kids so they got to hear the gospel too.
All I have to say is Praise God
